Fighting a battle you’re certain to lose sucks. Doing it in secret while everyone thinks you’re a traitor sucks worse.
Scout has saved her sister and as promised, Lil Bit has brought Iros an army. An army of innocents. Scout, Trey, Ashra and Torz are in charge of training this child army and making them into mighty warriors. Meanwhile, their parents are still trapped in Aptavaras with no hope of escape.
Until Ariston gives Scout an offer she can’t refuse.
Now, she’s waging an internal war–follow her heart or follow orders? She believes she can save lives and maybe end this war, but everyone else…
Everyone else believes she’s leading them straight into Ariston’s waiting arms.

In the third instalment of Wendy Knights “Riders of Paradesos”. And again she did not disappoint.
Scout and Trey have been at battle with the soul steelers for a while now, when Scout gets a visit in her dreams from Ariston. Dance for him and he will return her parents.
With this offer Scout was finding it very hard to refuse, she needed to save her parents but she also needed to save Treys parents too. So she offered a counter offer to dance for twice and both sets of parents would be returned. She keeps this secret from everyone but Ashra, but when Iros and the recruits find out what she has done they turn on her.
There are internal battles and battles with more soul steelers but Scout has a plan to stop the war altogether, but she knows that no-one will like this plan and they will feel betrayed by it, but she see no other option. This will save many lives and souls.
I love this series and hope to see more from Wendy Knight
